Fukagawa Drift Object: Partial Scientific Data Released, Including Marking Close-Ups and Isotope Ratios
The No. 3 Appraisal Center released part of the scientific data on the Fukagawa drift container opened on September 29, including close-up images of the markings on its inner surface and isotope-ratio measurements. The possible link to the markings on the tentatively registered Lineage 148 metal post, and the cause of the liquid surface's failure to follow the container's tilt, both remain unexplained.
On the 2nd, the No. 3 Appraisal Center released, as promised, part of the scientific data on the Fukagawa drift container opened on September 29, as previously reported. The release included magnified images of the markings on the container's inner surface and isotope-ratio measurements for both the liquid and the container itself. On the markings, the center reaffirmed its earlier finding that they share "something in the way the lines are drawn" with the symbols on the tentatively registered Lineage 148 metal post, but maintained its cautious stance that "a resemblance in shape is as far as we can say."
The new data offered no explanation for why the liquid's surface fails to follow the container's tilt. The two remaining containers, still held in storage, are unrelated to this opening; a full academic paper is expected to follow at a later academic presentation. The center commented, "This release has done more to sharpen the outline of what we don't know than to answer anything."
