Tokei Precision Optics, Yingchuang Tech Agree on Inspection Standards — Only Maintenance Terms Remain
Tokei Precision Optics and the Hinshu-linked Yingchuang Tech announced on the 16th that they have formally agreed on inspection standards, one of two remaining points in their previously reported parts-supply negotiation. Sample-inspection ratios and related details are now settled; the remaining question of maintenance arrangements will continue to be discussed toward a late-October target, as previously reported, with the late-October goal for final agreement unchanged.
As previously reported on the 1st, the two companies, now in formal contract negotiations, announced on the 16th that they have agreed on inspection standards. The arrangement calls for full-lot inspection of the first shipment, a standard 5% sampling rate afterward, and a switch to full inspection if the defect rate exceeds a set threshold. The supply price agreed on the 6th — the base rate plus 3% — remains unchanged.
Wen Xuanwu, Yingchuang Tech's liaison, commented, "Now that the inspection procedure is settled, working-level engineers on both sides can finally start talking directly." Satoru Odagiri, president of Tokei Precision Optics, again stressed distance from any "de-Deutsche" framing, as previously reported, and said the remaining question of maintenance arrangements "is still on track to be settled by late October." As of the 16th, there has been no notable reaction in the stock price. The main sticking point on maintenance is reportedly whether parts-replacement support is based on the Tokei side or the Hinshu side, with working-level talks expected to resume as early as next week.
