Window 3's Weekly Signal Test — No Response Confirmed This Time
No response this time. The Dimensional Survey Division said on the 31st that its weekly signal experiment at Window 3, 'the Slime Marsh,' produced no clear color change like the previously reported 'sign of awareness' seen on the 16th.
The Dimensional Survey Division carried out its weekly signal experiment during Window 3's opening on the afternoon of the 31st, as previously reported. Staff in the window room switched a light on and off at fixed intervals while observing color changes in an individual nicknamed "the Watcher" stationed in front of the window, but this time no clear response like the one previously reported on the 16th was confirmed. An official said, "If anything, what this experiment showed is that the same response doesn't appear every time."
As previously reported, the individual nicknamed "the Watcher" has been observed changing color in step with the window's opening and closing times, and the experiment on the 16th confirmed a change that appeared to respond to the light signal. This time, what appeared to be the same individual showed up in front of the window, but no notable color change was recorded during the roughly 40 minutes of observation. The signal experiment is set to be included on the agenda for the external advisory panel convening in early November, but the division said, "We have no intention of rushing to a conclusion about whether a response exists. Even the fact that 'nothing happened' this time becomes material for the record going forward," and will keep to its weekly pace.
