Suzaki 'Knocking' Reaches 32 — Two Reports the Same Night, First and Fourth Floor

Reports of "knocking" at Suzaki Third Housing have risen from a previously reported 31 to 32. In the early hours of the 18th, around 2 a.m., reports came in from separate units on the first and fourth floors at nearly the same time — the first instance, among all previously reported cases, of two reports being confirmed on the same night. The pattern of two knocks each remains unchanged, and neither unit reported anything unusual beyond the sound.
The covert patrol officer continuing the previously reported night watch was stationed near the first-floor unit that night but detected no presence or sound at the time of the fourth-floor report. The Tokei chapter of the Patrol Guild said, "One person can't watch two locations at once. Tonight's simultaneous reports made the difficulty of this, frankly, very clear."
"The floors being scattered is nothing new," a management association representative said, "but two reports in one night is a first. Whether it's coincidence or a changed pattern, we can't say." The added security cameras again recorded no figures or sounds during the reported windows. The permeation index remained at normal levels. The association is keeping its previously announced policy of asking residents not to respond, and both the truth of the matter and its cause remain unresolved.
